CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS

How to cancel 

Email congress@acaud.org with your full name, registration number and what you wish to cancel or transfer.

Registrations and workshops (paid add-ons) 

  • On or before 12 January 2026: refund of fees paid, less a $50 administration fee. 
  • From 13 January 2026: no refunds for any reason, including non-attendance (“no-shows”). 
  • Substitutions (name changes) are permitted by emailing congress@acaud.org A minor processing fee of $25 applies.

Separately ticketed social functions 

  • On or before 1 February 2026: full refund. • From 2 February 2026: no refunds. 
  • Transfers to another person are permitted by emailing congress@acaud.org a processing fee of $25 applies.

Functions included in a registration package

  • Functions bundled within a package cannot be refunded or transferred separately from the registration.

Payment and confirmation

  • Registration is not confirmed until full payment is received.
  • All payments are made by credit card only.
  • All fees are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Travel, visas and personal circumstances

  • ACAud cannot refund due to travel delays or cancellations, visa denials, illness, or changes in personal circumstances. Please consider appropriate travel insurance.

Program changes

  • The program, speakers, venues and timings are subject to change without notice. Changes do not create a right to a refund.

Postponement or cancellation by ACAud

  • If the Congress is postponed, paid registrations will transfer to the new dates.
  • If the Congress is cancelled, registration and separately ticketed function fees will be refunded. ACAud is not responsible for any other costs (e.g. travel, accommodation, insurance).

Force majeure 

  • If events beyond ACAud’s reasonable control (e.g. natural disaster, government direction, public health orders) materially affect delivery, ACAud will act reasonably and may offer transfers or refunds as appropriate. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Refund processing time

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original credit card used for payment. Please allow up to 20 business days.

Pricing, offers and capacity

  • ACAud endeavours to provide accurate information; prices and availability may change.
  • Early-bird pricing is available until 11 January 2026 (AEST) and applies to registrations paid in full by that date. After this date, standard rates apply automatically.
  • Some sessions have limited capacity and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Failure to attend reserved sessions without notice may limit future access.

Delegate obligations and conduct

  • By registering, you confirm your details are accurate and agree to follow venue rules and ACAud’s directions. ACAud may refuse entry or remove any person who breaches these terms or disrupts the event.
  • Code of Conduct: be respectful and inclusive; no harassment, bullying or discrimination. Follow staff instructions. No unsolicited promotional activity in sessions or messaging. Breaches may result in removal without refund and/or exclusion from future events.

Recording and photography

  • No audio or visual recording without ACAud’s prior written consent.
  • ACAud may photograph, film and/or live-stream parts of the event for educational and promotional purposes. 
  • Attendees who do not wish to be identifiable must notify us prior to attending at congress@acaud.org so we can take reasonable steps.

Privacy

  • Your personal information is used for registration, event administration and relevant updates. Chat/interactivity logs may be exported for event operations.

Disclaimers

  • Views expressed by presenters are their own and may not reflect ACAud’s positions.
  • To the extent permitted by law, ACAud is not responsible for loss arising from reliance on presentation content.

Definitions

  • Event: any ACAud ticketed activity.
  • Delegate: any person to whom these terms apply.
  • Ticket: a valid entry credential for an Event.
  • Venue: the physical location of the Event.
