Catering

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be available during the congress and is included in registration fees where indicated. Please ensure you note any dietary requirements when completing your registration.

Dress Code

The dress code for the congress is smart casual.

Name Badges 

Please ensure you always wear your name badge during the congress as this will allow you to enter sessions and functions. You will not be allowed to participate in the congress without your name badge.

Packing Tips for the Gold Coast in April

  • Light layers: Days are warm (~25 °C / 77 °F) but evenings can dip to ~19 °C (66 °F). A light jacket or cardigan will keep you comfortable at night.

  • Smart casual attire: Ideal for conference sessions and social events. Don’t forget something a little dressier for the Gala.

  • Comfortable shoes: The congress venue and networking events involve walking and standing—pack footwear you can rely on.

  • Swimwear & sun protection: The ocean is a pleasant 24–25 °C—perfect for a dip. Bring swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

  • Umbrella/compact rain jacket: April can bring the occasional shower, so it’s worth being prepared.

Gold Coast is on Australian Eastern Standard time: UTC + 10 hours.

Weather 

You can expect warm days around 25 °C (77 °F) and mild evenings near 19 °C (66 °F).  Humidity is moderate, rainfall light to moderate and the sea is a pleasant 24–25 °C (75–77 °F) perfect for a swim.  It's an ideal time to enjoy the Gold Coast's sunshine while keeping comfortable for Congress.

Getting Here

Located in Broadbeach, GCCEC is situated between the beach and the mountains, with the city north and south of the venue.  We are in an easily accessible location that offers a perfect balance of business and leisure.

  • 1 hour from Brisbane International Airport
  • 2 minute walk to local tram and bus stops, and the Gold Coast Highway
  • Walkable to Broadbeach town centre
  • Covered entry for cars, buses and taxis along with undercover parking

Taxi

Broadbeach is well served by Gold Coast Cabs and premium options like Silver Service.

Silver Service offers reliable, door-to-door transport, fixed fare options, luxury vehicle options (eg Lexus/Mercedes) and bookings via phone, app or website.

Standard taxis operate with meters a ride from Gold Coast Airport to Broadbeach typically costs between $A55-70+ depending on traffic and exact drop-off point. 

Uber

Uber operates across the Gold Coast 24/7, with services like UberX available from Broadbeach for rides around town or to Gold Coast Airport. Rides can be booked instantly or reserved up to 90 days in advance via the Uber app.
